HISTORY “In 1985, Paul Fields had a dream. He purchased a 1000 acre peninsula of prime lake front property on Norris Lake and called it Deerfield Resort. He started with a vision and never looked back. Deerfield Resort is a private gated residential community located just north of Knoxville, Tn. and 15 miles off I-75, exit 134 at Caryville, Tn. and off exit 160 at Jellico, TN. Deerfield is located on beautiful Norris Lake which has over 800 miles of shoreline and is a boater’s paradise. The water is deep and pristine. Norris Lake is nestled between the Cumberland Mountains and the foot hills of the Great Smoky Mountains. One of our community’s most unique features is a private 3200 ft. airstrip. The airstrip is available to all of our homeowners and guests.
